More experienced, less fear

training

I had a successfully training for Brainspotting, a brain-body based relational oriented trauma therapy in last December.

I told the trainees about my 3-year story about brainspotting. when I was speaking for David Grand Ph.D. as a translator in a web seminar in Japan, I was visibly shaking with anxiety and fear. That was my first page of brainspotting journey.

Then, I traveled around the world, U.S., Holland, Brazil, and learned brainspotting deeply. You might expect, staying unfamiliar places, even just for several days, with unfamiliar culture and language, is activating. People often tell me “I wish I could travel around the world like you”. Yes, if you like it, but I never thought my traveling that way. Instead, “I don’t want to go if I have other ways” every time.

Last year on March I had my first training. I was so exited for being able to tell people what I had learned. But I was too exited to provide my best performance, even though the training itself was successful.

These bitter experiences, whether felt good or bad, helped my growth. My growth was not possible if I had been reactive to my feeling good or bad because I would stop traveling and learning brainspotting if I had been.

This time, I enjoyed the training. At the same time, I was aware what my mission was all the time, teaching the trainees brainspotting as efficiently as possible.

This is my desire that I will learn brainspotting more at the same time I want to grow with my brainspotting journey.
